The embarrassment Memphis calls 'snow'

For about 4 or 5 days a 'winter storm' has been all over the news. In true Memphis fashion we were all prepared for this 'store' with lots of milk, eggs, caned soup and bread. I went to the grocery store tuesday night (storm due thursday morning) and it looked like a ghost town. Yesterday it finally got here. What went from snow for 12 hours to snow for 1 night ended up being a light dusting along with freezing temperatures ( lows in the high single digits and highs in the twenties.). Thankfully the roads weren't bad and by mid afternoons the streets were mostly just wet. But still the kids were out of school and no one had anything to do.
