Memorial day weekend

Monday, being a holiday was just what the word describes: Good food, relaxing schedule of going out for a bit, visiting my grandmother, and then coming home to cook out hamburgers for The Baby's birthday party. This was a perfect ending to a happy, but busy, weekend.
The baby isn't really a baby, and hasn't been for years but in our family she will always be the baby. 15 years ago last monday, I remember sitting with my cousins at the kiddy tables at the hospital coloring and eating peanut-butter crackers given to us by my aunt who was franticly trying to keep us all quiet and contained in the waiting room all waiting for the Baby to be born. She's been my roommate since the day she moved out of my parents room and we've shared certain traits, and lots of bedtime thoughts in our little room.
We're also close not just because we're sisters and roommates but because we almost share a birthday. Hers is the 30th and mine is the 31st. Though we usually celebrate them separate we kinda feel a connection to the other day like it's almost ours.
We ended the holiday weekend with a house-full of girls and some long-awaited cheesecake!!!

Happy Birthday Baby sister!!!
