Fall service weekend

This weekend I went with some RUF friends for a service weekend and time to recharge and get to know each other more. Over all the weekend was the perfect balance between having time to recharge and relax but also feel productive. The people we stayed with work at a school where many of the students live on campus. These dorm students have nightly activities and work projects so we just joined in. Friday night we took all the girls for some fall girl-time complete with a hayride, bonfire, S'mores, songs, and games.
Growing up I remember how much I liked hanging out with 'college girls' and having someone to listen to me and let me talk about myself so I really enjoyed doing the same for these girls. They really seemed to enjoy having people to talk to and new people to tell things to.

Saturday morning we painted then had time to hang out as a group and relax in the beautiful woods behind our host's house. I love being in a home and miss it while at school. Our hosts, my friend's family, were so welcoming and it was so nice getting to have home cooked food and time to hang around the house watching football.

The pictures in this post are ones I snapped real quickly before church Sunday morning. I could have looked at those leaves for hours!
