Chicago; The drive up

Tuesday morning I packed up the car, picked up my friend Ruth and we were off to Chicago! Other than almost being pulled over by a policeman, and being stuck in chicago 'rush hour' traffic the drive was pretty uneventful. After getting only slightly lost we pulled into Evanston, IL and met up with another 'turkey friend' and a friend of Ruth's. I was so happy to see Sarah. I hadn't seen her since saying goodbye in the Munich Airport 3 days before Christmas.
We had wonderful weather and enjoyed walking to dinner after 10 hours in the car. The next morning, after breakfast at a fun 'corner bakery' place we hit the city!!!
